It's a great ladder, if y'all pay attention

1st. Most of my needs will never exceed 10ft .. so I bought 12.5ft * "Ladder Use 101": Don't step to the top!2nd. When you don't need the entire length extended, double up on the rungs as you extended it, otherwise, there's a HUGE step between the 1st and 2nd placement of your feet, when climbing. (See where I've done this, now there's not a huge step up at the bottom) *picture3rd. When you have it extended to your desired length, use the strap to secure the bottom few rungs, so you can lift the ladder to adjust placement without extending more rungs. *picture4th. WATCH YOUR FINGERS WHEN COLLAPSING!I'm a Grandma, I feel secure and would definitely recommend, especially if you get it on sale!this isn't rocket science.. if ya use your noggin, it's pretty self explanatory.

Careful not to pinch fingers

I got this ladder so I could get into my attic. I’m 5 feet tall. I got the 12 1/2 foot ladder and my ceiling is 9 foot four. It feels sturdy enough. I asked my dad who is well-versed in ladders and he said it feels good. He went up it. He’s 70 years old. It’s a little bit scary closing it because I get scared that I’m gonna pinch my fingers, but I make sure to keep my hands low so it’s not in the way of the ladder closing. It’s super easy to open you. Just keep pulling up but the clothes that you have to push the tabs in for each section, but it goes pretty quick. It did arrive a little bent at the top, but I was too lazy to exchange it. I’m never going to be stepping on the top anyways.

Light duty ladder stows easily

This ladder's easy to transport when fully closed. It feels appropriately bottom-heavy with thick rubber non-slip feet. The bottom tubes measure 3” dia; note that braces and hubs are a stiff plastic while the frame and treads are aluminum. While it's easy to carry around, it's not TOO light; the 12.5' model does weigh 20.5 lbs!Being aluminum and plastic, this is not going to be your go-to ladder for extended exterior house painting sessions (normally plastic breaks down with extended UV exposure; not sure if this is UV-resistant plastic). And the narrow spread between feet means it's not great for operating heavy powertools or reaching far out to the side. What this ladder might be good for instead, is for being able to get onto the roof of your RV during a road trip, or stowing in the garage in order to access a high ceiling hatch or shelving. For these uses, I think it’s just perfect.Even though the ladder opened up easily and supported my weight without effort, the inherent flexion in the design does make it feel a little less secure than a standard ladder. The instructions which come with the item currently do not apply to the item at all, referring instead to other models of ladder offered by the manufacturere. Fortunately, all the information you need is contained on the stickers attached to the ladder. While I wish I could see the mechanisms holding the ladder rungs in place, the fact that there are two per rung should reduce chances of a surprise failure. My biggest complaint with the design is that the velcro strap is very loose, yet if you tighten the strap there's no receiving patch of velcro available to secure the strap. As it is now, there’s a pinch hazard when handling the ladder with such a loose strap if you grab it wrong. I hope the maker addresses this simple design issue.A good ladder to meet common needs when stowability and portability matter.

Sturdy, robust and very functional

This compact, telescopic ladder has filled an ongoing need immediately! I have never had a convenient way to access the attic as the ceiling scuttle was in a short hallway and could only be entered using an 8' step ladder stored in the basement! This compact ladder has now made access very easy. It's small enough to store in a closet but large enough to extend from the hall floor well into the attic.Once fully opened, the ladder rungs are securely held in place by spring controlled latches on both the left and right side of the ladder. They lock with a definite 'click' but i do verify that they are in place before ascending the ladder. The manufacturer even included a few extra latches just in case they are needed. The ladder is not lightweight nor overly heavy with enough heft to instill confidence while it's in use. I like to feel secure when venturing into the attic! There is not much to dislike, but I would mention that the black velcro webbing used as a handle for the ladder could be better. There is no issue but, if one developed, I'd just add another strap or bungie cord and use that as a carrying handle.I'd recommend this ladder to anyone who needs a portable yet secure method of reaching 8' to 10' above floor level

Only slightly defective.

It seems to be sturdy enough, but it came with a defective bolt and no good way to get a replacement.

If your thinking about it, get this ladder!

Love, love, love this ladder. I needed a ladder to paint a high spot on our house. I have one of those “little giant” type ladders but it’s super heavy and can be very dangerous when extending and trying to balance it when putting it in place (because it can be top heavy). It would take me about 10 minutes to get this thing out extend it and try to place it (almost threw my back out several times). All problems went away when I got this ladder. Even the 14.5 ft ladder is light and easy to carry. Takes between 10-20 seconds to extend. There are a few caveats you need to remember. The grips are not as grippy as an expensive Werner ladder and because it is light, you have to make sure you have it at a decent angle. If you start climbing and notice the ladder is falling towards you, you need to place it at more of an angle. One other very helpful hint. Many times you find that you won’t use all the rungs of the ladder. Let’s say you know you won’t extend 3 rungs. It’s much much more stable if you skip down 3 rungs from the top when extending it (see picture)(ie, the base should always be extended fully). This is because the top is thinner by design and you’re making it more stable when you double and triple up the top rung.If you’re on the fence between the 12.5ft and 14.5ft, get the 14.5. It doesn’t take up much space and is still easy to carry.

Liking it so far.

I have used this ladder on several jobs already and seems to be very nice. My main reason for the purchase was to get into those hard to reach closet attic entrances. It is tall enough to reach most first story gutter lines on most ranch homes. I weigh 255 and it holds me as well as a pouch with tools. The down side and I guess it is just the design is it has a ton of lateral movement. The release is nice but does come down with a vengeance.

Great for high-roof camper van conversions!

I’m converting a Promaster 2500 high roof and needed to climb on top of the van to install a fan and solar panels. I do have a ladder mounted to the back, but it’s not easy to use with stuff in my hands, and I’m too old and too fat to climb up onto the roof from the top of it!This 12.5 foot is perfect. In the photo, you can see it reaches my roof with the top two sections still folded, and extends above the roof by about 2 feet when fully extended. This is tall enough for me to reach the roof and safely dismount (I secure it to the roof rack with a ratchet strap if I’m alone without anyone to spot me).The bottom should sit about 2 feet out from the van for safety (about a foot for every 4 feet of height). This means that the 12.5-foot ladder reaches around 10 feet high when you allow for the angle. The feet sit securely in place and have never slipped or moved, yet I can lift the ladder into another position if I want to when I’m on the roof—it’s not too bottom-heavy or grippy to keep me from repositioning it when I want to.I’m going to keep this ladder in my van when I hit the road because it’s so lightweight and takes up little room. I’m a middle-aged woman and only 5-foot-4, but I can easily carry this under my arm. It will be far more useful for me than the attached ladder when I need to climb on top to service the solar panels or scrape snow. The only downside is that this ladder (and any aluminum) gets CRAZY cold in low temps! I had to start using it during the winter, and the ladder was far colder than anything else I came in contact with—even colder than the metal on the van. I had to put on work gloves to use it under 40 degrees. I’ll experiment with a few materials to see if there’s a way to add “warm” handholds on each section without hindering the ladder’s ability to collapse. Plastic coating would help this, but it would also add weight to the ladder, so I’m happy with the product.

Lightweight and Great Price

I wanted to replace my huge, heavy ladder and this VEVOR telescoping ladder is perfect! Lightweight and easy to carry.Took me a minute to figure out how to lock it when not fully extending it - but very secure once it’s locked.

Sturdy and easy to use.

Handy to have with an RV. The compact size makes this a great ladder for RV owners. It is comapct but easily extends to reach the roof line and any other spot. It is light enough to carry around extends with ease, lifting a rung at a time. It is ridgid in construction, making it safe to climb. The flat rungs are more comfortable than the ladder I have with round rungs. It comes with two spare locking keys for the extensions.

Works Great!!!

Great item and so happy with this purchase!!! I have a lifted pickup truck and as I approach 60 yrs old getting up into /down from the bed of the truck was becoming more & more difficult. This gem makes it quick, easy, safe & effortless!!! I weigh over 250lbs and its super sturdy. And its collapsed dimensions make it a breeze to store inside the truck!!!! Super happy customer here!!!!

Perfect for campers and storage.

Used this for a small pup camper that we needed to access the top solar panel. Perfect for storing underneath the camper and small enough to pack away. When we used it to felt strong and sturdy. Weigh is light enough for my small wife to use without struggling. Great compact ladder for the cost.

Great for indoors or outdoors.

This ladder is awesome. I use it both outside my home when I need to get to a rain gutter or something like that and inside my home when I need to get into the Attic. It's compact it folds down and stows away very easily.

Compact - not not sure about weight limit.

Super convenient and manageable for mid 50’s short woman, but not sure my 260 lb hubby would want to get on this thing. I love that it collapses and height is adjustable. Compact storage and carrying is great!
