Why did you pick this product vs others?:I would recommend this bunk bed but be prepared for it to take several hours to assemble. Requires at least 2 people to put together. It took my husband and I 4-5 hours to fully put together and we are handy people. It’s a little shaky when out 13yr old daughter climbs up the ladder to get on top bunk. Ladder also hurts feet. I looks nice and very modern style. It had some minor dents but we can live with that. Overall we like it

Nice and sturdy. Functions well in my studio apartment. It was fairly easy to put together. Wish it came in other colors, but black isn’t so bad. I’d like for it to have hardware to strap it to the wall for more balance., but overall quality is good. During the shopping I guess it got a bit of damage on the desk part, but it still functions just fine. Not bad for the money. Now I just need a mattress and futon and I’m good to go!

Easy to put together. And gives my daughters more room to move around. It’s built strong and the girls seem to like it.

This is an incredibly innovative Loft bed system. The fact that the bench seat can convert into a bed is amazing. How it does it is ingenious and very sturdy too.Secondly the robustness of this is incredible. It is so rugged, it is actually overbuilt compared to most beds on here I'd assume. Both on the bottom couch/bed and the top... it's quite sturdy. Tested it with multiple people that are a lot bigger than me and no squeaks, rattles, noise, flex or anything that we could find. The weight ratings are very believable.If you have a child or you and your girlfriend are big people, the last thing you want is the embarrassment of bending or breaking any bed. I can't see how this is possible with this incredible Loft Bed system.Thirdly, the instructions are pretty darn thorough and for directions, very usable, readable and accurate. And the customer service team is quite responsive, so if you have any questions, they do a great job of responding thru the Amazon site right here.Fourth, putting this together is a bit of a heavy lift, quite literally. There are a TON of parts and the biggest parts need to be incredibly robust and that makes them quite heavy. IF you are open to treat this as a great way to solve a puzzle and get to know your friend better, to get to know your son better, etc. then this is not an unreasonable installation.Fifth, it looks really damn good. I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to great design meeting great functionality and this nails it. I'd give it six stars in this category. You can also use it in ways that may not be immediately apparent at first.Sixth, the value is quite incredible compared to most other loft beds. If you want to save money, I'd look at some of the other beds from this same manufacturer. I've contacted other companies and vendors pre-sale wise and NOBODY matched the responsiveness of this company.Seventh, the flexibility is amazing here too. You can use this in so many different ways. I'm going to create a project using two of these and will have pictures and videos added to this review so you may get some ideas.Eighth, long term investment. It's clear that the great design and execution on this product will make it last a very long time. But even better is that this bed can be taken apart and moved. So if you want to get this for a high school son, great. It can be built, taken apart and put in his college apartment (dorms usually have beds, but this is 10x better); it can be taken apart and moved to another apartment or townhome, etc.Just make sure to keep ALL of the original boxes and create ziplog baggies with printed papers and outside details of what is needed.Bottom Line: This is a great product that can be assembled relatively straightforward if you have the right idea that this will be a great learning experience and can be fun. And that if you have ANY issues with it that the company will stand behind the product and get back to you surprisingly quickly.I can not recommend this product highly enough. You'll love it!

Bed was easy to put together. The instructions were pretty clear and all the parts were well marked. The bed is fairly sturdy. Wobbles a bit with a rambunctious kid.The ladder to get up is not easy to use. And it's painful on bare feet. I had my husband build a set of stairs to go there.My only real complaint is the futon. The product page has a nice picture with links to the different products seen in the room. But no link to the cushions on the futon. It'd be nice if they gave a little guidence. Cushions for this futon are difficult to find and will probably have to be custom ordered, which will be expensive.

Desk piece was broken upon arrival-we were also missing 3 screws. Tried to do the chat with manufacturer option and they have been no help just keep saying they are trying to get ahold of the warehouse. We also can’t get the bookshelf pieces to stay in place they just fall out.My kiddo likes the bed other than the shelves not staying on.

Great product, but the packaging was damaged. Looked like it had been previously opened and then repacked. Also had bolts missing, we had to go to the hardware store and purchase bolts to complete the beds.

Assembly was difficult due to bad instructions. Once assembled it was perfect size area below, desk large enough to work on. Stairs need padding so I bought black pipe foam and it was perfect. Total space saver!

It's a great space-saver, and has become a very fun private realm for your youngster. The downsides full bed can be placed in other room, very function twin over full loft bed with step.
