My boys LOVE their new beds. Ages 8 & 10. I love them. We assembled them opposite with stairways on right and left side (instructions came with both options). The elevated height is perfect. We got the full size and its perfect size for them and for future teenage years. I like that there’s no desk or anything below because it leaves so many more options for below (another mattress for sleepovers, rolling desk, a couch, a toy area, etc). I also love the actual stairway because it’s easier for me to help them make their bed or strip sheets. The stairway also has a hanging section for clothes, so this is where I keep all their school clothes. Everything right there for those early morning rushes. And the stairway has all kinds of storage for other things. AND… as if it couldn’t get any better, the shelf on the side of the bed has an outlet! They have a lamp and chargers for their tablets. The whole bed is very sturdy! No squeaky ness either when moving! Now, don’t get me wrong, you will spend all day assembling one bed. AND you have got to pay attention to where screw holes show and orientation. But everything matches perfectly IF you had every piece orientated correctly. It’s much easier with two people once you have your panels assembled and then start putting those panels together (my husband put together panels while watching football and then I helped him hold the panels while he put them together). But overall this bed meets every expectation and MORE!

Pros: sturdy, does not creak during movement, includes the power plug on the top shelf, includes a LED light strip with a remote control, instructions let you choose which end you want the stairs on, includes all tools you'll need (allen wrenches and screwdriver).Cons: if I every need to move the bed to another room I think it will be difficult to partially-disassemble due to complex networks of screws.Note: the bed pieces might arrive in 2 boxes, arriving on different days. I was not expecting that, so I was panicking when the first box did not include all of the pieces.Note: the seller recommends two people build this together, and I must agree. I built it myself, I got sweaty and frustrated, it would have been easier and funner with a helper.

Absolutely love this Loft bed, but I do have a question for those who have purchased...what is the small wooden square piece for?? I enclosed a photo ;-)
