There are a lot of pieces - took time to put together.

Great desk, hard to find l-shaped like that. Has a lot of storage space. Pretty easy to assemble, 1 man can do it but 2 definitely faster and easier. No stickers to cover the bolts and screws, but otherwise great desk. My daughter loves it.

I wanted 4 months for this desk to come in.The good: It’s a lovely matte dark blue and looks very expensive. There is a lot of desk space with a small foot print and the shelves provide storage or display space.The not so good: Yes, it’s painted particle board but I knew that going in. I believe it will chip very easily so I’ll be ordering some desk pads and bumpers to protect the finish as best I can since I work from home.The hutch attaches to the shorter side of the desk (I’d hoped i could choose), not a deal breaker but thought I’d mention it.Assembly: I couldn’t carry the 2 boxes in because they are way too heavy for one person, so I unpacked them in the driveway and carried in the pieces: felt like hundreds but actually about 34 plus a hardware box. I organized them in numerical order after skimming the instruction manual. FYI: to get started you’ll need some pieces from each box, a screw gun, a flat head and small phillips head screwdrivers. I used the thin styrofoam packing sheets as padding to protect pieces during the assembly. Once I completed the pedestals, I moved them into their home and finished the assembly in place; no way I could have moved it alone. The hutch has backer boards that aren’t installed until after the unit is secured to the desk. Due to my ceiling height I couldn’t put them in, so I measured to the first fixed shelf, cut (small circular saw) each backer into two pieces to insert them. The cut is hidden by the shelf! I put the entire unit together myself in about 4 hours: it would be easier (on my old back and hips) with two people especially when lifting the hutch onto the desk because it has to be aligned with 8 pins. I did not install the electrical box, not sure I will as I have plenty of outlets. Take your time with the assembly, some pieces can be confusing.In the end, I’d order it again because it is a perfect fit for my room, doesn’t take over the space and will function nicely.
